We invite you to register for the online course “Training in Targeted Biomarkers, Part II: HER2 IHC in Breast Cancer,” which aims to promote practical knowledge of HER2 IHC testing.
This interactive course is entirely web-based and includes both pre-recorded lectures and an interactive case seminar using a digital microscope.
The training is organized by Pathology Science in collaboration with AstraZeneca and Daiichi Sankyo and is intended for those who work with predictive biomarkers in breast cancer and are based in Sweden.
The course is free of charge.

Speakers
DR. EUGENIA COLON
Clinical pathologist at Unilabs, Stockholm, with special expertise in breast pathology. Dr. Colon is a certified HER2 IHC trainer and serves as both a course instructor and examiner for this training program. Dr. Colon is also a member of the KVAST group for breast pathology within the Swedish Society of Pathology.
DR. CORRADO D’ARRIGO, MB ChB PhD FRCPath
Consultant in histology at Dorset County Hospital, UK, and one of the founders of the Poundbury Cancer Institute. Dr. Corrado D’Arrigo has extensive experience with biomarkers, particularly in breast cancer, and is a certified HER2 IHC trainer.
Registration
Registration is closed. The course is free of charge.
Technical Requirements
The course’s learning platform can be accessed on any device: Windows, Mac, or mobile devices. You do not need to install any software to attend lectures or examine cases using the digital microscope.
It is important that you have a stable internet connection and access to a microphone and headphones during the workshop. If you are participating in the workshop from your workplace, make sure the hospital’s firewall does not interfere with your Zoom connection.
For best results, we recommend that you calibrate your screen for accurate colour reproduction.

Course Structure
The course is conducted online via a dedicated learning platform, featuring pre-recorded lectures and live workshops on Zoom. You can watch the pre-recorded lectures at your convenience, but please allow at least 90 minutes for each. All patient cases to be used during the workshop are available on the learning platform and can be examined using the built-in digital microscope. You should have watched all the lectures before the workshop begins, and we also recommend that you familiarise yourself thoroughly with the cases. Be prepared to discuss the cases with your classmates. Both the lectures and the cases will remain available for review for some time after the course day.
Assessment
The course concludes with a test on the learning platform. A passing score on the test is required to receive a certificate.
Target Audience
This training is intended for specialists in clinical pathology who analyse HER2 IHC expression in breast cancer. Number of participants: max 15.
